Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the research trends of the Korean Nurses Academic Society Journal.
Total 296 studies from the Korean Nurses Academic Society Journal are analyzed in this study.
@ES Results of the study are as follows.
@EN 1. The most frequently used concepts are Stress, Patient, Nursing, Pain, Cardiopulmonary function.
2. The most frequently used independent variables are teaching. Support, relaxation, stress, exercise, caring, and dependent variables are anxiety, quality of life.
3. As to hypothesis statement, directional hypothesis and univariate hypothesis are most frequently used.
4. The most frequently adopted theory is Self-Care Theory of Orem and the next is Transcultural Nursing Theory of Leininger.
5. The most employed research design is descriptive survey.
6. The most frequently selected research subjects are patients followed by healthy person.
7. As to measurement. Questionnaire is most frequently used followed by interview.
8. Hospital is the prevailing research setting and the next is community.
9. Parametric statistics are the major analytical methods. In particular. t-test is used most frequently followed by ANOVA, Pearson r.
10. The most frequently applicable to research results is domain of nursing practice, in particular, adult nursing domain.
11. In the aspect of theory related. The most frequently revealed is factor-relating study followed by factor-isolating study.
